Joey and I drove to our friend BreAnna’s house the night before Erica and Alex’s beautiful wedding! We stayed the night before their wedding and got to catch up with my sweet college friend and her husband. It’s so nice being wedding photographers because it allows Joey and I to be flexible with our schedule and make time to see friends who happen to live near the weddings we’re shooting!
When the wedding day arrived, we pulled up to this beautiful church in Spartanburg, SC. Erica met us outside and we were so surprised to see that she drove our dream vehicle: a Jeep Wrangler! The future Valorie Kelley Studios vehicle is a pink, 4 door, Jeep Wrangler!
Erica was such a happy and fun bride and we had an amazing day together! Her color schemes were so pretty with the lavender! Erica also sported her something blue in a pair of Tieks!!! I’ve heard these are the most comfortable ballet flats ever and they look so trendy! Her bridesmaids were very photogenic and I could tell they were so happy to see their friend get married.
Alex and Erica bought each other gifts that they were to open before the ceremony and it was so precious seeing what they came up with! Erica filled a journal with sweet messages to her soon to be husband. (insert cry emoji)
We weren’t allowed on the sanctuary floor during the ceremony so we had to bust out the zoom lens and shoot from the balcony. However, we got some creative shots!
It started raining during the Bride and Groom portraits! Oh no! Erica and Alex were such great sports and even through some bad weather, Joey and I were able to capture amazing pictures of them!
Joey and I really had a great time capturing Alex and Erica’s day and met some pretty awesome people!
